Yoorim Ko, also known as Korchive, (b. 2000, Seoul, South Korea) is a New York-based multidisciplinary artist working across painting, installation, and mixed media. Her practice explores internal landscapes shaped by emotion, memory, and subconscious experience, examining the tension between surface and inscape, the visible self and an inner essence that resists capture. Drawing from private moments and bodily sensations, Ko creates layered works through intuitive mark-making and material experimentation.
She received her BFA in Ceramic Art and Design from Seoul National University of Science and Technology and her MFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, New York. She has exhibited in the United States and internationally, including at SVA Chelsea Gallery, BK HAUS, Jackupsil NY, Prain Villa, and Arte-soop Gallery. She participated in the Kunstraum residency in Brooklyn and is a forthcoming resident and partial fellowship recipient at Vermont Studio Center. Her work and practice have been featured in interviews and publications including CanvasRebel, Suboart Magazine, Bold Journey, Handl Magazine, and APEX Art Magazine.
